Birds We’ve Helped Find Forever Homes
Fostering birds is a great responsibility, but it is also an incredibly rewarding experience. It gives us the opportunity to truly get to know each bird, their unique personality, needs, preferences, and quirks, so that we can find them the loving, perfect forever home they deserve.
Tiki
Tiki was not fostered with us, but with the help and support of our team, we were able to help him find his forever home.
Tiki was originally given as a gift to a child. His parent soon recognized that Tiki needed more time, attention, and enrichment than they were able to provide. Knowing when to ask for help takes courage, and they made the loving and responsible decision to reach out.
Because they did, Tiki now gets to be the main character in his new home. He is deeply loved, cherished, and surrounded by the time, attention, and enrichment he deserves. Most importantly, Tiki has found the forever family he was waiting for.
Gary
Gary came to us from a very loving home. When he turned three, he began displaying some new behaviours, including chasing one of his flock mates. This created stress within the flock, and his person knew that Gary needed some extra help and support.
They reached out to us, and with time, patience, and lots of understanding, we were able to help Gary rebuild his trust in people and feel comfortable again.
When it came time to find his forever home, we knew Gary deserved a place where he could truly thrive, where he could receive all the love, patience, and compassion he needed for him to show his true awesome, self.
